EPUAP 2023 Awards

Open call for all traditional EPUAP awards!

Deadline for submission: 22nd May 2023

Focus: This award aims to recognize and acknowledge innovative quality improvement projects relating to the prevention of skin breakdown.

Prize: The award winners will be presenting their projects at the Annual Meeting of the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel in Leeds, United Kingdom.

The presenting authors will also receive 500 EUR in the form of a travel grant (the travel expenses to be reimbursed after the conference). This travel grant can also be used to reimburse the conference registration fee.
 
SELECTION PROCESS:
  1. Submit an abstract to the EPUAP 2023 annual meeting following the standard submission process. Do not forget to check the box “Please consider this abstract for the EPUAP Quality improvement in pressure ulcer prevention/management award”.
  2. Send a cover letter to the EPUAP Conference secretariat (office@epuap.org) justifying why you should be awarded the Quality Improvement Award and detailing the following points: What did you do and how did you do it? Which actions and steps did you take? What were the results? Which improvements did you see? (1 page maximum).
  3.  Only the submissions with both the cover letter and the abstract submitted before the EPUAP Abstract submission deadline (22nd May 2023) will be considered. The applications will be reviewed by the EPUAP Scientific Committee.
  4. If your application is not selected for the Quality Improvement Awards, it is still evaluated as a standard abstract submission for EPUAP 2023 and eligible for a presentation in a standard Free paper session.

Prize: The award winners will be presenting their projects at the Annual Meeting of the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel in Leeds, United Kingdom.

  2. Send a cover letter to the EPUAP Conference secretariat (office@epuap.org) justifying why you should be awarded the Excellence in Education Award and detailing the following points: Which educational method(s) did you use and how did you apply them in practice? (1 page maximum).
  3.  Only the submissions with both the cover letter and the abstract submitted before the EPUAP Abstract submission deadline (22nd May 2023) will be considered. The applications will be reviewed by the EPUAP Scientific and Education Committees.
  4. If your application is not selected for the Excellence in Education Awards, it is still evaluated as a standard abstract submission for EPUAP 2023 and eligible for a presentation in a standard Free paper session.

Focus: The EPUAP Early Career Investigator’s Award  rewards a young scientist with less than 5 years of experience since completion of PhD whose work is fully in line with the research themes of the EPUAP community and promotes excellence in research on pressure ulcer prevention and management at the international level. The funded researcher commits to participate in the next EPUAP annual meeting to present his/her work, and to receive his/her prize during the gala evening. EPUAP will pay the registration, travel, and accommodation costs.

How to apply:
The application should be sent to office@epuap.org by May 22nd 2023 midnight latest and should contain the following elements in a single pdf document.

  1. A (short) letter of motivation (max. 1 page)
  2. A description (max. 2 pages) of the research (context, objectives, methodology, results obtained/expected, importance/impact, originality and innovation, collaboration and interdisciplinarity, perspectives), and, if applicable, of the dissemination activities.
  3. A CV (max. 2 pages)
  4. A list of scientific production (articles, conferences, book chapters, books, patents,…)
  5. A copy of a first or last author article

The results of the evaluation will be communicated around June 30th 2023.The evaluation of applications will be performed by the EPUAP Research Committee.
